Ragi idiyappam | Ragi shavige | Ragi nool puttu | Goki’s kitchen

Ingredients for making Ragi Idiyappam:

1. Ragi flour – 2 cups 
2. Rice flour – 1/2 cup
3. Water – 2 & 1/2 cups
4. A little bit of salt
5. Ghee – 1/2 spoon

Let”s start:
Step – 1:
In a frying pan add ragi flour – 2 cups, rice flour – 1/2 cup. Dry roast for 5 minutes or until flour turns aromatic & then keep aside.

Step – 2:
Then add 2 & 1/2 cup of water, add a little salt & ghee – 1/2 and then boil the water. Once the water is boiled switch off the stove. Pour the boiled water over the flour and mix it with a spoon. Rest for 3 mins or until the dough cools down. Knead well by hand (Add hot water if required).

Step – 3:
Take the small holed mold & fix it into the chakli maker. Add 1 spoon of oil to the Idiyappam maker take a small amount of dough put it inside the maker & then tighten the lid.

Step – 4:
Rub ghee on an idli plate. Press the idiyappam. Prepare the idli steamer, cook as you do it for idli. Cook for 15 minutes. Ragi idiyappam is ready…

 

Delicious Ragi Idiyappam is ready …
if eaten with coconut milk, it will be very delicious…
