MAX – The Rabbit
Once upon a time, there was a kind and honest rabbit named Max. One day, while out for a walk, Max stumbled upon a carrot patch that belonged to a farmer. The carrots looked delicious, and Max was very tempted to take one. But, he remembered his mother’s words, “Always be honest and never take what isn’t yours.”
Max continued on his walk, but couldn’t stop thinking about the carrots. The next day, he returned to the patch and asked the farmer if he could purchase some of the carrots. The farmer was happy to sell him some and Max bought as many as he could carry.
As he was leaving, the farmer thanked Max for his honesty and asked him to come back and visit. From that day on, Max visited the farmer every week and they became good friends. The farmer even gave Max a special discount on his carrots.
One day, a group of rabbits came to Max’s burrow and asked him to show them where he had found such delicious carrots. Max happily took them to the farmer’s patch and introduced them to the farmer. From then on, many rabbits started buying their carrots from the farmer, and he was able to sell more than he ever had before.
The moral of the story is honesty is the best policy. Not only did Max’s honesty lead to a delicious and healthy meal, but it also led to new friendships and helped the farmer’s business thrive.
