Ingredients for Making Channa Masala Gravy:
1. Oil – 6 tbsp
2. Onions – 2
3. Ginger – 2 inches
4. Garlic – 8 cloves
5. Tomatoes – 2
6. Kashmir red chili powder – 1 tbsp
7. Garam Masala powder – 1 tbsp
8. Red chili powder- 1 tbsp
9. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
10. Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
11. Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
12. Salt as required
13. Some curry leaves
14. Green chilies – 2
15. Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
16. Chickpeas as required (Soak 8 hours and cook for 3 whistles)

Let”s start:
Step – 1:
In a pan add Oil – 2 tbsp, Onion – 2, Ginger – 2 inches, Garlic – 8 cloves, Add and fry for 1 minute. (low flame).
Step – 2:
Then add 2 tomatoes and cook the tomato till it becomes soft.
Step – 3:
In low flame, add Kashmir red chili powder – 1 tbsp, Garam Masala – 1 tsp, Red chili – 1 tsp,
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp, Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp, Coriander Powder – 2 tbsp, Add Salt as required and mix well.
Turn off the stove. cool completely. Transfer to a mixer jar and add a little water grind fine paste.
Step – 4:
In the same pan add Oil – 4 tbsp, Curry leaves, Green chilies – 2, Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp and mix well then add ground masala paste & mix it.
Step – 5:
Add the chickpeas (soaked for 8 hours and cooked for 3 whistles in the cooker). Add the water as required cover and cook till it thickens, then mash half of the chickpeas and finally turn off the stove.
