Coconut rice recipe / Thengai Sadam / Quick Lunch Recipe / Fresh Coconut Rice / Goki’s Kitchen

Ingredients for making coconut rice:

1. Ghee – 7 tbsp
2. Few curry leaves
3. Green Chilies – 2
4. Mustard – 1 tbsp
5. Urad dal – 1 tbsp
6. Chana dal – 1 tbsp
7. Peanuts – 2 tbsp
8. Cashews – 2 tbsp
9. One medium-size coconut (grated)
10. Cooked basmati rice as required 
11. Salt as required

Let”s start:
Step – 1:
In a pan add Ghee – 5 tbsp, some Curry leaves, Green chilies – 2, Mustard – 1 tbsp, Urad dal – 1 tbsp, Chana dal – 1 tbsp, peanuts – 2 tbsp, cashew nuts – 2 tbsp fry for 3 minutes in low flame.

   

Step – 2:
Then add the One whole grated coconut and fry for 3 minutes in low flame.

Step – 3:
In a large pan, add 2 tbsp ghee and add the above-sauteed & add boiled basmati rice, salt as required, mix well and turn off the stove.
