Omapodi recipe / Besan Sev / Sev recipe / Goki’s Kitchen

Ingredients:

1. Besan / Gram flour – 1 cup
2. Rice flour – 1/4 cup
3. Turmeric / Haldi – 1/2 spoon
4. Hing / Asafoetida a pinch
5. Red chili powder – 1/2 spoon
6. Salt to taste
7. Oil for deep frying
8. Curry leaves few

Let”s start:

Step – 1:
Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 1 cup besan and 1/4 cup rice flour, Also add 1/2 spoon turmeric, Red chili powder – 1/2 spoon, a pinch of Hing, and salt. combine well.

Step – 2:
Now add water (or as required) and prepare a smooth dough. the dough will be slightly sticky, that’s normal.

Step – 3:
Grease the small holed mold with some oil and stuff dough into it.

     

Step – 4:
Further, press and spread the Sev in hot oil. and make sure you do not overlap. After a minute, flip over and fry the other side. Fry until bubbles subside.

 

Step – 5:
Finally, fry some curry leaves and add it to the Omapodi.
