Malai Kofta / Kofta Recipes / Goki’s Kitchen

Ingredients for the Gravy:

1. Butter – 3 spoon 
2. Cumin – 1/2 spoon
3. Cinnamon- 1
4. Clove – 3
5. Pepper – 15 numbers
6. Onion – 2
7. Green chili – 2
8. Ginger – 1 inch
9. Garlic – 4
10. Cashew – 20
11. Tomato – 4
12. Turmeric- 1/4 Spoon
13. Kashmiri Chili Powder – 1 & 1/2 Spoon
14. Chilli powder – 1/2 spoon 
15. Garam masala – 1 spoon
16. Cumin powder – 1/2 spoon 
17. Coriander powder – 1 spoon
18. The required amount of salt

To Make Kofta :

1. Potatoes (boiled & mashed) – 200 gms
2. Paneer – (grated) – 200 gms
3. Cashew – 10 numbers
4. Few coriander leaves
5. Chilli powder – 1/4 spoon
6. Corn powder – 1 spoon 
7. The required amount of salt
8. Corn powder (for dipping)
9. Oil for frying

Let”s start:
To make Gravy:

Step – 1:
Heat a pan and add butter – 3 spoons, add the Cumin – 1/2 spoon, Cinnamon- 1, Clove – 3, Pepper – 15 numbers & mix it.

  

Step – 2:
Then add large onions – 2, green chilies – 2, ginger – 1 inch, garlic – 4 and saute for 2 minutes.

Step – 3:
Cashews – 20, tomatoes – 4, turmeric – 1/4 spoon, Kashmiri Chili Powder – 1 & 1/2 Spoon
chili powder – 1/2 spoon, garam masala – 1 spoon, cumin powder – 1/2 spoon, coriander powder – 1 spoon
Add the required amount of salt and cook in low flame for 5 minutes, then switch off the stove & cool it.

 

Step – 4:
Transfer to a mixer & grind them to a smooth paste by adding some water.

Step – 5:
Heat the same pan with some butter, add the gravy into it.

Step – 6:
Add a little water and mix well. and cook for 5 minutes in low flame.

 

Step – 7:
Turn off the stove after 5 minutes and keep aside. Our gravy is ready.

To Make Kofta:
Let’s start:

Step – 1:
Take a bowl, add (boiled & mashed) potatoes – 200 gms, paneer (grated) – 200 gms, Cashew – 10 numbers, chili powder – 1/4 spoon,  few coriander leaves, corn powder – 1 spoon, and add salt mix well.

      

Step – 2:
Take a small portion of the mixture,  Make it into round balls and set aside

   

Step – 3:
Take a small bowl of corn powder, dip the prepared balls in it, & deep fry the balls till they turn golden brown in color.

 

Step – 4:
Add the fried balls to the gravy and serve.

Step – 5:
Our delicious paneer kofta is ready …
